A Temporary Home While Your Long-Term Plans Take Shape
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) gives eligible NDIS participants a temporary place to live when their long-term home is not yet available or accessible. Individual Home Support helps participants navigate this transition with appropriate accommodations as they prepare to move into their intended home. MTA may be relevant when an SDA property is still being prepared or approved, or when home modifications mean you cannot safely remain at home.
Our team can help you understand the available accommodation options and coordinate support tailored to your circumstances during this period. We provide MTA across Greater Melbourne, including Derrimut and surrounding communities, as well as Greater Geelong, the Mornington Peninsula, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Shepparton. MTA is generally provided as a one-off support for up to 90 days, depending on individual circumstances and NDIS funding.

MTA may be available when you have a long-term home to move into but cannot access it yet, such as when an SDA property is not ready, or approved home modifications prevent you from staying at home.
No. MTA funding covers the accommodation itself. Personal care and other approved supports are separate and may continue through your NDIS plan if eligible.
